I remember I used to wake up to Tyson Beckford’s body every morning. No, silly he was plastered on my dorm room walls but I really haven’t heard much from him this year after he retired from modeling. I hope Diddy didn’t blackball him
I wouldn’t do anything with Sean John. Sean John is not fashion. All he does is hire people from FIT and take the credit for their creativity. That dude is not fashion and that’s not a real fashion house. To be honest, they should really let the women who work at the company, run the company, because they know the business better than those guys. link
Tyson was seen last night at the grand opening of Club Beach in Miami looking Zestfully clean. See the pics after the jump

When I was modeling in Canada in 2000-2001, I had the privilege of meeting Tyson and Boris Kodjoe; both are cool brothas. And I am glad that Tyson spoke out about Diddy and him not really being fashionable. I get so sick of him attaching his name to stuff he had NO hand in working on.
In all honesty the only urban designer that really exist out there is Marc Ecko; I mean he personifies artistic fashionable creativity. The guys of FUBU and Karl Kani were like that as well, but as much as I like Russell Simmons and Phat Farm, I hardly consider him to be a designer; his book “Life and Def” will tell you that. He is just a label swapper and Phat Farm just happened to come along at a really good time which is why it become so successful; Russell knew what “we” needed in the stores and he worked it out.

Every Christmas I would wait for my Tyson calendar. What a wonderful calendar…
Marcus, that is so true. Diddy will tell you in a New York minute that he wants to be like Russell. He knows that Russy is very business-savvy. He a need and he provides-basic ECO 101.
