Is Jay-Z Getting The Pink Slip?
Almost a week after Island Def Jam slashed dozens of jobs, there are whispers that Def Jam may be giving Jay-Z the two dueces very soon due to his excessive demands. According to the New York DailyNews:
“He wanted big, big money that was way out of sync with the realities of today’s record business,” a source says.
“People have lost count of how many times he’s come out of retirement,” the source says. “Everybody knows he’s not around the office much. Everybody at Universal loves him, but they can’t justify paying him the money he wants when so many people have been laid off.”
Currently, Jay-Z and Beyonce are parlaying in Paris for his 38 39th birthday.
Off topic: But have you noticed lately that you will see pics of Beyonce and Jay-Z at the same location but there are no pics of the two together. In the last few weeks they have been raising the value of their paparazzi shots by making it a hard find to get shots of the two together. A photographer gets far less for a shot of the two separately than they would if they were photographed together. Check my sidebar for the paparazzi action. Pretty funny..

Is New York Preggers?
If you hate spoilers, please proceed to the next section. New York of the reality show “I love New York 2 may be pregnant. Yes, New York may be a moms and it may be by Tailor Maid, who is said to be the winner of the show. *faints* The two were spotted dining at a NY Red Lobster last week. Show producers are of course brushing off the claims (why wouldn’t they) but in a recent vh1 I love New York series she stated.
“There’s something that’s going on with me right now and…uh, I’m almost ready for mommyhood. I’m really nervous and I can’t believe I just said that, but there’s something starting to tick in me. And you know, I’m only 25, I’ll be 26 in January, and I’m almost to that point where I can almost see myself being a mommy, like, real soon! So I think that’s next.“
If this is indeed true, I wish her the best and I hope she’s willing to give up those cancer sticks.
Lawd How Mercy: The Drama
Earlier this week, Lil Kim explained her beef withRemy Ma in this ridiculous MTV tape.
To which Remy Ma responded in an interview with Kay Slay:
“That little boy better live me alone.”
“Like, how could you be conceited, you don’t even like your own face. You don’t like your nose, you don’t like your cheek , you don’t like your chin, you don’t like your skin color, you don’t like your tits , you don’t like your stomach, you don’t like your teeth.”
“When I feel like someone’s getting at me, then I’ll drag them all over the first spot that I see them…like this chic has more ghostwriters than Foxy. I just feel like right now she’s reaching.”
Does Lil Kim not realized she just started beef with a chick that popped her own friend. I wouldn’t want it with Rems. She looks like she’d snatch the blond part of her weave out and stomp you with her A-1’s if she had to. This better be for publicity..
Condolences to Stephan Marbury
Stephan Marbury’s father reportedly passed away last Sunday while attending a Knicks game at Madison Square Garden. He reportedly was rushed to the hospital after suffering a heart attack and later passed away. The sad part about this story is that his coach, refs etc was told by his family to keep it from Stephan until after the game because they didn’t want it to effect his performance. Sad, indeed.
Kelly Rowland Dating Tank?
Kelly Rowland might have found love once again in R&B singer Tank. According to PR-Inside.com
Rowland and Babbs [Tank] met when he co-produced her second solo album Ms. Kelly last year (06) and the couple is “madly in love”, according to friends.
A source tells American magazine the Star, “He’s a strong man and a perfect gentleman. His bright smile and bashful eyes won Kelly over completely.”
Welp, don’t expect a confirmation from Kelly anytime soon because she has vowed to keep her personal business private every since she broke off her engagement to Roy Williams. Are you ready for a Tank and Kelly Rowland duet? lol
Other tibits: Congrats to Kanye West who is up for 8 grammy nominations including Album of the Year. Expect to see alot of tearing at next year’s grammys. Condolences to both Big Tigger and Donnie Simpson who both lost their fathers this past last weekend. Chris Brown has just signed on to play a basketball star in the film “Phenom” opposite Henry Simmons and Vanessa Williams. Wendy Williams is set to headline her own daytime talk show. The Dream and Nivea are headed for divorce. Ne-Yo is no longer allowed to talk about why he was dropped from the R.Kelly tour do to legal reasons.
